Our admission process is designed to give parents a variety of opportunities to understand the benefits of a Montessori education and to determine if we are the school community where your child and family can blossom and thrive. General steps in the process are outlined below. Always feel free to call us at 954.923.7100 if you have any questions.
1. TOUR AND CONFERENCE:
This is an excellent opportunity to see current students and teachers in action. Tours are held periodically throughout the school year and are conducted from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. An appointment is required. The tour and conference take about 40 minutes. Children must attend with their parents for the conference and the tour.
2. ADMISSION PACKET:
Please request or use the link below to dowload an Admission Packet which contains the following forms: The Application for Admission Form, which needs to be filled and submitted by the parents or legal guardians and the Confidential Recommendation Form, which needs to be taken to your child’s last school. Please note that the school, not the parents, must return this form.
3. FAMILY OR CLASSROOM VISIT:
After submitting the Admission Packet, we invite all prospective students to come visit our Montessori environments before the enrollment process. Your child will interact one-on-one or in a small group with one of our teachers. This visit helps to determine if Marblue Montessori offers the right fit for your child, and aids us in class placement.
- Toddler House: Please schedule a 20-minute visit during playground time at 9:45 am, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Parents are welcome to stay with the child.
- Children’s House: Please schedule a 40-minute visit during the Montessori work period. The teachers will do an observation and evaluation during this time.
- Elementary: Please schedule a half-day visit from 8:45AM-1:00PM. We will evaluate the student by observation and interview, before accepting for admission.
We reserve the right to evaluate for academic aptitude and behavioral readiness. We accept students of varying academic levels, however, we cannot serve students with behavioral problems.
4. ENROLLMENT PACKET:
Once the classroom visitation is completed, the recommendation forms are returned and the child is accepted, you can request and fill out an Enrollment Packet. Submit the completed Enrollment Packet along with the enrollment fee to secure your child’s place in the selected program.
